Clara Teniswood is a Canberra-based cellist. She studied with David Pereira and received her LMusA in 2013. She has performed at the Canberra International Music Festival and attended the Australian International Symphony Orchestra Institute. On baroque cello, she has participated in workshops and programmes with ensembles and musicians including Ironwood, the Sydney Baroque Festival, Masaaki Suzuki and Juilliard415, and Van Diemen’s Band. Clara is principal cellist of the Canberra Bach Ensemble (since 2019), and performs with the Limestone Consort and The Southern Concert. Alongside her musical work, she holds a PhD in materials science and works in the public service.
In her spare time, Clara enjoys gardening, learning German, choral singing and baking.
