Apeiron @ Braidwood

Braidwood Concert Series

The world of Baroque Music is much stranger and passionate than what understood in recent times. Apeiron Baroque (John Ma and Marie Searles) have spent the last couple of decades playing and honing their craft with some of the world’s foremost Early Music ensembles in Europe, Australia, and around the world.

Join Apeiron, as we discover some rare gems for Harpsichord and Violin (and d’amore) from our favourite era of music. Animals, fantastic dances, and heart-rending harmonies are on the menu for our debut Braidwood concert!

WHERE: Braidwood Uniting Church, NSW.

Guerrieri et Amorosi

Apeiron with Oriana Chorale

The Madrigals of early-baroque composer Claudio Monteverdi capture the emotional range of the human condition with fiery fervour and sublime tenderness. His eighth book of madrigals contains some of his finest writing for voices and instruments. In this concert we are joined by Canberra ensemble Apeiron Baroque to bring you a selection of these works, alongside others from Monteverdi's contemporaries.
