Sydney-born violinist, Ella Bennetts enjoys a varied career performing with numerous chamber ensembles and orchestras throughout Australia. After attaining her BMUS Honours at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Ella became a member of the Sydney Sinfonia Program, performing regularly with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and various chamber ensembles before moving to Germany in 2012 to pursue her Classical and Baroque violin studies in Freiburg.

Ella is a very versatile musician and has performed with a wide range of baroque and contemporary music ensembles throughout Europe. As a baroque violinist, she has performed with various ensembles including Freiburg Bachorchester, Ensemble für Alte Musik Chapelle de Vigne and Main Barock Orchester Frankurt. Ella also has extensive experience as a contemporary violinist, having collaborated with numerous composers and contemporary ensembles in both Austria and Germany. Since returning to Australia in 2022, Ella performs regularly with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Australian Haydn Ensemble, Orchestra of the Antipodes (Pinchgut Opera) and Salut!Baroque.

Ella is also a dedicated music educator, and has taught violin, viola, and directed various string ensembles in Australia, East Timor, and Germany.
