Pippa Newman is a violist, music teacher, and chamber music player. They are principal viola and soloist with the ANU Chamber Orchestra, violist with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, and a member of both the Ellery and Blumen string quartets. In 2021, Pippa was a finalist in the Whitworth Roach Performance Awards; and in 2023, she was awarded a Wesley Music Scholarship and appeared as a Young Artist at the Canberra International Music Festival. She is passionate about music education and enjoys teaching strings and directing ensembles, choirs, and holiday music camps in and around Canberra.
