Peter Searles is an emerging writer from Canberra. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing at University of Canberra (UC). He is employed as an editor at Curieux magazine, UC's student publication, where he enjoys promoting the work of UC's students as well as contributing his own creative work and journalistic articles.

Although Peter has a long standing love of prose fiction, it was through his studies that he was properly introduced to poetry and began a keen exploration of the art form. Peter is discovering that Canberra is home to a vibrant community of poets. He is co-host of Poetry on the Radio, a half hour program on ArtSound FM which promotes their work and events.
