2026 Chamber Series
From the outer urban backstreet cul-de-sacs and roundabouts of Canberra... a Baroque ensemble configuration rears its head, 3 violins-3 continuo.
Just off the top of your head, what is a piece for 3 violins and continuo? Pachelbel’s Canon probably springs to mind, but we will show you a few more things! And with a beefed up continuo section with extra theorbo/guitar/lute and cello/gamba… we probably should showcase a few things for those instruments as well and not let the violin divas hog the spotlight!
With guest artists: Jared Adams (Violin), Isaiah Bondfield (Violin), Anton Baba (Cello/Gamba), George Wills (Theorbo/Guitar)
WHERE: Wesley Uniting Church, Forrest, ACT
WHEN: 22nd March 2026, 4:30pm.

"Such a wonderful program played so beautifully, with warmth and joy."
"I love the way you don’t assume all your audience is knowledgeable, and you bring us along with snippets of info and show us the instruments."
"...inventive and inspiring"
"Thank you for yet another sublime performance!"
"Pachelbel Canon D – fun version of Apeiron Baroque."
"Apeiron Baroque can always be relied upon to provide something different in their concerts... this ensemble certainly made beautiful music together."
"Another of the delights delights of an Apeiron Baroque concert is to hear the music of less familiar composers."
"...lively and often amusing anecdotes about many of the composers."
"Highlights included a jaunty gavotte by Telemann, which the ensemble clearly enjoyed playing... concluded this excellent concert with a fine performance of Johann Pachelbel’s possibly now too-well-known Canon."
